The Advantages of Stranded Wire

Sep. 04, 2021

Stranded wire is realized by twisting a single wire around the stranding shaft at equal angular speed and moving the stranded wire forward at a constant speed. Commonly used are copper and aluminum. Copper and aluminum wires can be twisted into various different cross-sections and different types of wire and cable conductor cores. The use of stranded wire can reduce the operating temperature. Compared with the single-stranded wire of the same cross-sectional area, the stranded wire has higher mechanical properties and flexibility.

The advantages of stranded wire:

1. Good flexibility.

Stranded wire is more flexible,It can be twisted and bent to the desired shape,The flexibility of the twisted wire is that it is not easy to break when bent.

2. High reliability.

Avoid instability caused by uneven materials

3. High strength

Compared with a single-stranded wire, the single wire of the same cross-section has higher strength

4. Good stability.

When the stranded wire is bent, it will not be stretched or compressed, nor will its position change.
